How Mississauga plumbing and HVAC websites perform on a phone
We opened 24 independent Mississauga plumbing and HVAC homepages on a phone. Many hid emergency service, the quote button, or the hours.
Main findings
- 01
16 of 24 (67%) don't say "24/7", "emergency" or "same-day" on the first screen.
- 02
14 of 24 (58%) had no usable booking or quote button on the first screen.
- 03
8 of 24 (33%) had no usable call button on the first screen.
- 04
15 of 24 (63%) leave out the address or the hours.
- 05
8 of 24 (33%) don't show or link their Google reviews.
How we did it
24businesses checked
Independent companies serving Mississauga, Ontario: 10 plumbing, 12 HVAC and 2 that do both plumbing and heating. We found them through web search and public directories. When we opened the sites on a phone (a 390 x 664 screen), we recorded what a customer sees on the homepage before scrolling. We don't name any company.
What we checked
- Is there a tap-to-call phone link, and can you actually tap it?
- Is there a booking or quote button, and where does it lead?
- Does the first screen say 24/7, emergency or same-day?
- Are the street address and opening hours on the page?
- Does the page show or link to Google reviews?
- How heavy is the homepage to download on a phone?
- Does the page title mention Mississauga?
Data collected October 23, 2026. Study by AstraCoreTech. When we opened the sites on a phone, we recorded the first screen. Every number comes from the raw results. One screen size, one browser, one visit per site. Homepages only. Other pages or a Google Business Profile may have the missing details. We did not call any numbers or submit any forms. Page weight is the first load before scrolling. Load times varied between runs, so we don't report speed. Some companies serve the wider GTA, so leaving the city out of a title may be a choice. The sample comes from search and directories, so it is not random. One more company was left out because its site failed with a certificate error. One site showed a bot check on the first try, so we recorded the second visit.
The findings

What owners can do about it
- 1
Name emergency service
Put "24/7 emergency service" next to the phone number if you offer it.
- 2
A quote button near the top
Add a "Get a quote" button near the top, tap it on your own phone to make sure it works, and say how fast you reply.
- 3
Tap-to-call in the header
Put a tap-to-call number in a header that stays on screen, with no pop-up over it.
- 4
Address and hours in the footer
List your address and hours (or "Open 24/7") in the footer as plain text.
- 5
Link your Google reviews
Add a Google reviews widget or a "Read our Google reviews" link.
- 6
Lighter pages on a phone
Compress images and keep large videos off the phone version.
- 7
Put the city in the page title
Use a page title like "Plumber in Mississauga | 24/7 Service" and add a one-line description.
